Meet Sky boy!

Sky joined our pack about 3 years ago. My Mom and Dad were getting ready to buy their first house and my grandpa had been looking at the Lebanon Humane Society for a new dog. He didn't find one for him, but found a friend for me. My Mom and Dad went to meet him and then took me the next day for my final approval. I gave him 2 paws up!
Sky did not make things easy on my mom and dad. The second night at our old house he escaped out the front door. (I just had them too spoiled and they let their husky guard down.) Mom and Dad and the local police spent the better part of the night searching for him and Sky was playing a rousing game of catch-me-if-you-can. Ironically Sky had been loose in our neck of the woods before and the police were not very nice at first because they thought it was my mom and dad that had been letting him get loose all the time. I set the police officer straight right then and there. Mom and Dad had their early morning run trying to chase him down again. It was quite an amusing sight. Mom finally had gotten a call at 7:15AM from kids at the bus stop who caught him. He had walked right up to say Hi!

Then, on our first night in our new house (3 days after the first escape), Sky got loose again. Apparently Mom got a call from a sheep farmer 1/2 mile up the road who had caught him. He didn't hurt the sheep but just liked playing with them overnight. Boy, did he stink! Even better he decided to sleep all day in Mom and Dad's makeshift bed on the floor while they spent the day moving into our house.
Mom and Dad knew they needed to teach Sky to come on command for his own safety and decided to purchase a dog training collar. It took Sky almost a year to really settle in and become a loving dog to Mom and Dad. Now he won't leave Mom's side. He even doubles as a horse for the little biped. Sky is an extra large husky weighing in at 85lbs.

Sky, Shiloh here and I feel ya buddy. I lead my mom & dad on a few merry chases across the golf course when I first got to my new house. I was not used to bein a house pup at all - I was a loose and cruisin doggy. But isn't it so very nice to know you have a great home and are soo luved! Come command is very hard but I've been practicin at school, so I hope I get it right if an emergency comes.

Sherman is a Mama's boy & never leaves her sight. Lola just had her first escape but came right back. I got loose once & just sat in the front yard.

Mom works really hard at teaching us to come on command. But we're no huskies...so her work's a little easier.

You really put your people to the test, Sky. We are glad you have people who figured out how to keep you safe. You, Maximus, and I should get together for an oversized Sibe party sometime.

Amici hasn't tried to run away yet but he has tried jumping out of our window (as he somehow escaped his kennel, killed the air conditioner, and then chewed through the plastic thing by the air conditioner). It is a miracle he was okay. I am not looking forward to a run away experience. I am glad you found your dog and that he came on command. :)

Sky, we've gotta keep them on their toes! It's the only way we can husky-proof those humans. Besides, they need the exercise.
