Breast Cancer Awareness

Dad suggested a few nights ago, that I should add a link on the blog to a breast cancer awareness site since I recently had to have a partial mastectomy to remove the cancer (we're so glad that it didn't turn out to be the bad kind). We added the link to the sidebar on Friday night, but I haven't had a chance to mention it until now. This is what the link looks like.

The Breast Cancer Site

Click on it every day, and sponsors will donate money to the Breast Cancer Site, a foundation that provides free mammograms to human women that need them (what about doggie women that need them???).

Our mom clicks this every day at work, Daddy's brother's wife lost a battle to this nasty stuff a couple of years ago, after a 7 year fight. She said thanks for the reminder though, she needed to put the link in her favorites on our new 'puter here at home.

That is so cool. Mom feels this is an important thing for women, and you have made us aware of it for us girl dogs too. We will click it too.

What a great idea. There are so many women out there who need help. I'm glad yours was not the dangerous kind and you are going to be ok.

That's really lovely, Kelsey Ann! I wonder if they would do that for female pups!?!?
As a fellow cancer survivor, I salute you!!!

We clicked it! Thanks for letting us know about that. One of my Mom's closest friends just lost her mother to cancer in Jan. 2007. It has been a hard road for her friend and an eye opener for all of us how much cancer hits people.

I'm going to click on it right now! And Mom said it reminded her that it's time for her to make an appointment for her Mammogram. Thank Woo!
