Is Canyon Allergic????

Hello Everydoggy!
Ok, I know I complain A LOT about the "annoying one", but I think he may be having a problem with our houseguest. Mom says Canyon is reverse sneezing.....Dad had no idea what she was talking about so she looked it up on the internet and sure enough there is such a thing. Mom didn't make it up. Canyon has been doing this choking/cough/sneezing/sucking air in like it's his last breath. I do actually feel bad for him. He gets really scared when it happens and goes to mom right away for her to make him feel better. He's such a momma's boy. Mom read there are two ways to help him when it happens: cover his nose so he takes in air through his mouth or massage his throat since that tightens up too when it happens.
The reason for this sudden condition???? I believe it might be the new "houseguest", don't worry we won''t put Hennessy out on the street, but this only started happening to Canyon when Hennessy got here. If this condition persists after Hennessy leaves, mom and dad will take him to see our Dr. Horst to make sure there are no more serious medical things happening.

I couldn't resist sharing this pic of Canyon and his little biped....this was before the Minnie Mouse incident!

Poor Canyon, hope you feel better soon. Reverse sneezing is pretty common in pugs. Our mom massages our neck area when it happens to one of us.

Whoa, I saw the title and the picture and worried maybe Canyon was allergic to the mini bi-ped. I am relieved it is just Hennesy.

Awwwooo, what a cute picture of Canyon & the baby biped! We're so sorry about your reverse sneezing issue, that sounds really scary! We hope the problem goes away when Hennessy's humans get back and he goes back home.
Those pics from the doggy playdate look like SO much fun!

Oh, ha ROOOOO! Kelsey Ann... I know Canyon can be a bit annoying (trust me, I live with Dave; I understand these things!) but that picture of him and the baby biped is PRICELESS! They both look totally adorable!
I hope Canyon's reverse sneezing goes away when Hennessy goes back home!

Poor Canyon! Shadow has reverse sneezing too and Mom said she read that stress can trigger the phenomenon. That's definately Shadow's problem! She gets stressed over EVERYTHING! She's like Piglet Mom says. She's wondering if maybe Canyon is stressed out over Hennesy being there. Maybe his snorts will go away when Hennesy goes home.

KA, are you still licking your leg? I hope that got better!

I do that snorting and snuffling too, sometimes. For me it's partly a medical thing.

Tell your Mom to check Can-Can for little bugs, just to make sure he didn't get any from Hennessy.

Itty bitty mites in your nose can sure make you want to sneeze out, in, and upside down!

Or Hennessy may have given him a little runny-nose virus.

So many things to watch for! I hope he feels better soon!

That is such a cute picture. You mom has to frame it.

MayaMarie is doing fine. The vet told mom she has to wear an ecollar because she kept biting at the bandages on her paws. And she's supposed to be still. I guess she'll spend a lot of time in her crate. Mom washed all our doggy linnes and has blocked the sofa off. I'll keep you'all posted.

I don't think Canyon is annoying at all. And he does seem to be having a hard time.
