Ahhhh.....little bipeds....

Hey Pups!

The humans had some company over tonight. They brought along their 2 little bipeds too. It was kind of fun until the little bipeds started getting really loud. At one point the boy biped wanted to walk across the living room to the couch to watch TV and I was laying in the way between the ottoman and the wall...that silly biped took the long way around to avoid me. I guess I resemble the Big Bad Wolf!
These are the good, quiet, little bipeds....

These are the loud, crazy, tractor-crashing, little bipeds.....can you see my totally annoyed look?

Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter...

Kisses, Sky boy

Pee Ess: I sincerely apologize for not visiting blgs lately, I have not been able to get much computer time. Mom usually helps me and she's been busy baking and cooking all kinds of yummy human food stuff for the holidays with no time for blog reading. I'm lucky I got to post to our blog. I promise to get back on track for the new year!

A Visit from Santa Paws - An Earth-shaking Experience

Hey Pups,

Christmas Eve and Christmas
Santa Paws was here to visit! Here are some of the pictures.

The little biped shows a toy ice cream set from Grandma and Pop on Christmas Eve.

Every year, Santa Paws leaves a gingerbread house for the bipeds.

She tore open the presents really fast this year (the blue box in front of the fire place is for us!).

Presents at Gama and Paw-paw's house later Christmas Day. Great-gama and Great-pop were there too.

This is what was in the blue box for us! Treaties! Woo-woo!

Meadow with her bone and tomato squeekie from the bipeds.

Canyon thinks his bone is lip-smacking good. He got a strawberry (star-berry in little biped speak) squeekie.

My squeekie is a pineapple. I like it because it's yellow. Orange is my favorite color toy, but yellow is a close second. If they're any other color, you can take it back to the store.

Here's Meadow checking out some of the little biped's toys.
We forgot to bring our bones upstairs with us later, but Meadow brought them all up for us later on. Thanks, Meadow, your a sweetie.
Christmas morning, we also watched the Disney parade on TV and saw Santa Paws at Disney after his marathon trip around the world.
The Day After Christmas
Dad had the day off of work yesterday and Mom had to work, so us pups and the little biped stayed home with Dad and played all day. After Mom got home from work, the bipeds went out to see the new Disney Pixar, Bolt.
Brief plot summary - It's about a white husky (voice by John Travolta) who gets adopted by a little girl (voice by Miley Cyrus) as a puppy from the shelter. A few years later, they are starring in a TV show. The dog has super powers (and he doesn't realize he only has them on TV). He accidentally ends up in a box being shipped from Hollywood to NYC and has to find his way home.
After their trip to the movie theater, they came home with a sick little biped. Fever and vomiting. She passed out on the couch and Mom and Dad left her there since it was easier for her to get off the couch and to the bathroom than from her bed. We went back to the bedroom to snuggle with Mom and Dad and watch TV.
Santa Paws must have gotten home around midnight. Apparently, the reindeer were very tired from riding Splash Mountain and the landing was a bit rough. So rough, it shook the earth. We heard a rumble like thunder and a little bit of shaking. This morning, we found out it was an 3.3 magnitude earthquake and not a crash landing at the North Pole. Glad to hear Santa is OK - just hoping no one was hurt or had serious damage to their homes or businesses. The epicenter was about 31 miles from here.

Today's plans include - sleep, go out to pee, chew on a bone, sleep some more, etc... Meanwhile, Mom and Dad are hoping the little biped feels better soon so they will be able to go see Nana, Pap, Great-Grandpa, Mom's Aunts and Uncles, and the little biped's Uncles and Aunt as planned.

Home Alone

Hey Pups,

We thought we were going to be starring in Home Alone: Kapp Pack this Christmas. The bipeds went away last week. They left Friday night and just came home on Saturday. Turns out they ran off to another country to escape the cold, windy, snowy, icy weather in PA. I had to look at pictures on their camera to find out where they went. It appears they were in Aruba (A-Roo-Bob in Little Biped speak).

Iguanas are a common sight in Aruba - Where's Waldo?

Mom with her Deeve bag on the beach.

A beautiful sunset. Yes, Captain Maverick - that is a pirate ship. You can go on a half-day cruise that includes open bar, lunch and snorkeling.

Amici, this is for you. Your own restaurant in Palm Beach, Aruba.

The little biped got her very own coconut. She's not making a face because of how it tasted, but because the sun was in her eyes.

The pool and the Lighthouse Tower of the Marriott Surf Club (where the bipeds stayed).

Another beautiful sunset.
A view of the pool from the balcony.

What a cool shot of the palm tree at sunset! Thanks to Gama for this picture.

The bipeds took a ride on a boat with a under-water viewing deck over the wreck of the Antilla. This was a German merchant ship which was scuttled so the Dutch couldn't capture it during WWII. It has become a reef. The fish on the lower right are yellow snapper.

This is the Antilla.

Dinner at Simply Fish at sunset - a restaurant on the beach.

The Marriott hotel, a few doors down from the Marriott Surf Club. There's a casino here. Mom and Dad played some and lost a little.

More sunset.

The little biped's favorite activity of the week. She spent about 2 hours on the slide every day.

The foreground is Aruba. The mountain in the background is Venezuela (about 15 miles away).

California Lighthouse. Named California because they decided to build it after The California sank off the coast.
Hope you enjoyed these pictures. The only thing that made Mom and Dad sad during the trip was seeing all the homeless dogs running around the island. So, public service announcement - support rescue!

Thank Woo, Biloxi!

Hey Pups,

Our former foster brother, Biloxi, and his Siber-sibs sent us an early Christmas present.

We're checking out the box after Dad cut open the tape to see what is inside.

I smell something good.

Christmas cookies! We didn't get any of the ones Mom made.

Squeekies! Two moons and a star!

And, chewies - that's what smelled so good! They're BBQ flavor. Yum!
Thanks Biloxi, we love our presents.
Merry Christmas,
Sky, Meadow and Canyon

Winter Solstice

Hey Pups!

In case you hadn't noticed our blog was neglected again.....and the reason this time.....my humans went to some stupid place called ARUBA. All they could talk about last night when they got home was how they would like to be back in Aruba in the 90 degree, sunny weather. Are you freakin' kidding me???

So guess what, they woke up this morning to a nice coating of snow on the ground.....that'll show you stupid humans! This winter weather is the best. I just hope we have even more as winter progresses.

Now on a more serious note.....today marks the start of winter and we call this special day Winter Solstice. On this day every year the Siberian Husky world celebrates the lives of those who have earned their wings and run free North of the Rainbow Bridge. You can learn more about it by visiting the Siberian Husky Memorial Page.

My sweet fursister, Kelsey Ann, is on the list this year. We are asking all of our friends to light a candle at 8PM tonight, face to the north, and wish all the 240 huskies on the list Godspeed and a swift trail.

Kisses, Sky boy

Pee ess: We got a special gift in the mail and I will share that with all of you tomorrow and I suppose sometime I will share some pics and info from my human's vacation.

Cocunuts

Hey Pups,

It's cold in PA. Yesterday, it was cold and we had a rain/snow mix. Mom's still trying to think warm thoughts...

Hope that this helps everyone think warm thoughts in the cold Northeast, USA or wherever else you are that it might be cold. If this doesn't work, then snuggle with a husky!

Single Sunday (the Sky version)

Hey Pups,

Mom and I just happened to be looking back through some old pics of Kelsey Ann that she has scanned onto the laptop. We were having a good time reminiscing and then I noticed a striking similarity between a pic of Kelsey from way back when she was a single dog and of a pic mom took of Biloxi this summer....

They both were spending time at the beach, at the same campground, relaxing under a picnic table. For some reason mom has been thinking about the beach a lot lately but I'm not quite sure why....

We hope everypup had a furry good weekend!

Please Help Us...

Hey Pups,

Today's post is about doing blog housekeeping. I've noticed that our blog friends list is really, really, really outdated. Please let us know if you are missing from our list! We would like to give credit to all of our furfriends!

Thank Woo!

Christmas Cookies

Hey Pups,

I have to complain.  Yesterday, we got left home alone for the majority of the day.  The bipeds went to church in the morning.  They came home and had some lunch, then left again until well after dark.  When they returned they brought with them about 8 dozen cookies.  There are chocolate chip, peanut butter, sand tarts, iced sugar cookies and the kind with Hershey Kisses on them.  But none of them are dog cookies.  Mom, Gama, and the Little Biped spent several hours baking cookies while Dad and Pawpaw got snow equipment ready for winter and watched football.  But during all this time baking cookies, they couldn't find time to make some for us.  I see how we rate...  Man's best friend - yeah, right!

Since none were made for us, I guess we'll have to hope Santa Paws brings us some cookies.  The Little Biped should be going to visit him soon to give him her list.  We'll have to see if we can sneak cookies onto the list.  She can't read yet, so she won't notice.  Probably should add some new bones and squeeky toys too.

Kisses, Sky

Daddy's Girl

Hi Puppers,

I think everydog has their favorite biped.  Canyon definitely prefers the little biped and Sky's is a Momma's Boy.  I on the other hand am a Daddy's Girl.  This is my usual position when he's away on business...

Looking out the window and waiting for him to come home.  When he gets home, I snuggle, give hugs and lots of kisses...
