Oweee, oweee. Puppy cries. Mom got out the toenail trimmer a few days ago. I struggled because I was afraid to be hurt. Mom said if I had just sit still and been a good dog, it would have been OK. Instead, there was blood all over the floor, Mom, me, and some even managed to splatter on the dining room table. I had to get all bandaged up. I'm fine now so don't worry about me anymore. But I want to let all doggies know - when you see the toenail clipper go hide under the bed. If your people catch you, then make sure you sit still.

Oh, no, Brook! I can empathize. Jan made me bleed all over everything once. She was so scared she won't touch my nails now. These humans should just leave our nails alone!
We are so sorry to hear of your boo-boo! Dad was always nicking one of mine so they switched to the noisy dremel. But they keep forgetting to do my nails so they're really long.

I is so sorry about woo having an owie! It takes both my mommy and hooman brother to hold me down...there is always lots of yelling between the hoomans while the others howl in protest. **sigh**

We are relatively convinced that toe nail trimming is the most traumatic thing, but our humans play unfair sometimes. Yes, one of them does belly rubs and ear rubs and when we are totally relaxed, we discover that all of our nails have been trimmed. But we didn't get to scream about it. Not fun!
Oh, no, Brook! With a mitt like that, you could hop into the start of the major league baseball season!
Next time, why don't you offer to clip MOM'S nails?
