Mom has the Itchies!

Hey Pups!

Mom has been neglecting our blog a bit lately. Something about having poison ivy and benny-drill making her sleepy. I don't buy it....I just think she's being lazy and neglecting us again. I did claw her into getting this video of us uploaded to you tube (ignore the little biped's Veggie Tales music in the background).

Dad got his new car on Friday night. If I can convince Mom, I'll get some pics of me checking it out tomorrow!

Limited Mobility

Hey Y'all

I be suffrin from limited mobility lately. MyMama been tyin me to da tay-bell or be stickin me in my crate a whole bunch last week or so. See, I still ain't been learned dat I's only loud to pee outside. MyMama say it a problem when I go outside, pee, den come back in and pee in da hallway right atter. She can't figger out why I go all day and don't never pee in my crate; why I go all night and don't never pee in da bedroom; but, if I be left loose in da house when all da bipeds be home, I pee in da hallway. She's jus stoop-idd... I's only be doin it to yank her chain. Now, da good thing in dis process, is I's been gettin treaties atter ev-err-ee trip outside. I's not been gettin hollahred at none to much eeder. Soonah or lader I'll get learned like a big doggy and I won't pee inside no more.

De udder problem wid dis limited mobility is I's still be hurtin atter my fixin surgery. Y'all might recall dat I done got cut in cupplah places cause my stones tried to hide from da doctah. It be gettin bedder.

One final tidbit for y'all. I ovah-her-red MyMama tellin MyDaddy bout her talk with Maw (or MaPaw). There is a good chance dat I may be movin to my fur-ever home soon. Keep your paws crossed dat da refrenses all be good.

Have a bless-sed day, Biloxi

I thought I'd share what I did with the little biped this afternoon...

Don't we look all cozy?

I'm so happy to have a furever home that understands my siberian ways. Stay tuned for my do-it-yourself workshop on refrigerator accessibility.

Oh, Tuesday makes a special day. It's Miss Fluffy Tail's gotcha day and her humom's birthday! Go wish them well!

What's for Dinner?

Hey Pups!

Look at this...
This is so NOT what I ordered for dinner!

Oh, and we are being neglected again. Mom, Dad and the little biped were out car shopping most of yesterday. The good news is that hopefully by this Friday Dad will have a new ride!

Surprise Treat!

Hey Pups!

Mom went to a discount grocery store yesterday and brought us home a pawsome treat! She thought these would help me with my zinc responsive dermatitis and unfortunately she told me I had to share with the rest of the pack. I'm the King now and I should dictate who shares my snacks!

Ooooo....anchovies.....

Don't they look really yummy?

Canyon's looking at mom wondering if the treat will be good or not....he's such a worrywart!

Here's Meadow checking things out...

The pack formation.....supervising Dad's distribution of treats...

A closer look....
Meadow getting an even closer look...

Yum......

Wow, this is good stuff....

Biloxi is looking for more....

I hope you enjoyed seeing our yummy treats!

HULA Operative

Hi Puppers!

I showed mom how smart I am last night. Mom made up this special hamburger and rice concoction for Biloxi because he's has super-charged shooting poo since his fixin' day. Mom had to let it cool in the magic cold box before feeding it to him. When mom left the room I thought I would help my poor little gimpy foster brother out and open the fridge so he could sample his dinner. Mom turned around, saw the fridge open, and shooed us out of the kitchen and picked up our treasure.

About half and hour later Mom and the little biped were in the little biped's room cleaning up toys and putting the little biped's jammies on. I seized my opportunity. I opened the fridge again and called Biloxi into the kitchen and we quickly took care of one of the containers of yummy special food. I heard mom coming and just as she rounded the corner I dashed out of the kitchen. Mom saw a flying red streak and was suspicious and checked out the kitchen. We had secured all evidence of the fridge tampering......or so I thought.....

Mom sat back down at the table and heard a plastic bowl sliding across the floor. Stupid little foster bro gave it away. Mom figured out what we had done. Now there is talk of a child-proof latch for the fridge. This is so not fair! What's a hungry girl to do????

Meeshka, please accept this event as part of my HULA application!

Here are some pics of my recent little biped training....

Playdate and Some fixin's

Hi Puppers!

Although I am not an official MaPaw dog, I got to go along to the
MaPaw playdate yesterday. I had so much fun. My favorite was an all-white husky boy named Blue. Mom tells me Blue made an appearance on the Kapp Pack blog last year, right here. Blue needs some special vibes because he needs to have eye surgery to remove cataracts (See I knew cats were evil) They have cause his eyesight to be 5% in his one eye. Doesn't stop him from playing hard though!

I had so much fun, I can't wait to go back! Canyon did well with everyone and was less scared (according to Mom) and Biloxi enjoyed himself after he stopped hiding behind all the humans!

I also got to meet the famous Dr. Horst. Sky and Canyon have told me he's a great guy and I was a little shy at first but after I inspected him for a minute I gave him some Meadow approved snooter kisses! He said I'm in great shape and he thinks I'm about 1 year old. Mom and Dad are going to keep my birthday as August 1, 2007.

Mom here: Biloxi got neutered today. The poor little guy has three incisions. One of his testicles was stuck in "no man's land" and they had to try from the groin and the abdomen to push it out. He threw off their surgery schedule for the whole morning :-) Things are so messed up in his pelvic area from his crushed hip and that's what made it so difficult. He went out when we got home and has been peacefully (thank dog!) asleep on the pillow he's claimed as his. When we went in to pick him up, Meadow had her first appt. with Dr. Horst. He is estimating she's around 1 so she will keep her Aug. 1st b-day we gave her. She goes in for her spay in September.

Pee Ess: Please send some prayers and vibes for Mom's Uncle, he was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Why I'm the Princess

Hi Puppers,

You may have noticed that Mom listed me as Princess Sunshine Meadow in the caption on my official Kapp Pack photo. This is the reason I have earned that title.

Here I am sitting on my throne

I fell asleep in my throne - notice it has a picture of Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora. They're Princesses just like me.

Mom would try to tell you I stole this throne from the Little Biped, but what does that matter. She was in bed asleep, so the chair was mine to take. I'm the Princess!!

Christmas in July

Hi Pups!

Mom has been receiving some packages from one of her Sibermal Society friends. The first package came the day after we lost Kelsey Ann and really brightened Mom's day. Here's a picture of the little biped modeling Mom's new Boo bag. It's a Bags by KZK original.
The next box came yesterday. The day after we brought Meadow home. I'm sensing a pattern! There was lots of cool stuff it. The little biped helped to open the presents. There was a very cute cow bank for mom (our kitchen/dining room is decorated with cows), a cow book for the little biped, a cow magnet, an Iowa shirt for mom and one for the little biped, rawhide lollipops for us doggies, and superdog treats for us. All of this pawsome stuff came from Summit the Super Mal's Mummi! Isn't she the best?

As an extra added bonus for tonight's post I am going to add in the pictures blogger was too stoopid to post last night!

A Gift From Above

Hey Pups,

The bipeds had some errands they had planned for this past Saturday: taking the blogathon prizes to the post office, visiting the library to return the Little Biped's borrowed books and find a few more (specifically looking for some to help the Little Biped learn about losing a dog and doggy heaven on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge), a trip to the hardware store, taking the Sibe Vibe for service, and dropping off food donations at the local Humane Society. They left the house around 10Am and were back around noon. Light bulbs and new books were unloaded from the car. Lunch was had and then... Leashes and choker collars were gotten out and Canyon and I were put in the back of Dad's car. RIDE!!!!!

We got to the Humane Society and Mom and the Little Biped went inside while Canyon and I waited outside with Dad. The food bags were already gone so I was a little nervous (remember, I had been there before joining the Kapp Pack) Before too long, Mom, the Little Biped, and a small husky girl came out. She was red and white with amber eyes and a full mask. We went for a walk at the grounds of the Humane Society, sniffed butts, and did some husky play. We all seemed to get along wonderfully!

Mom and the Little Biped took her back in and we went home. Mom and Dad started talking about names for her before we got out of the parking lot. Later that day, they settled on two choices... Sunshine or Meadow. After debate, they finally decided Meadow would be her name. The Little Biped piped up and said it should be Sunshine. So, a compromise was made (or as the Little Biped says "I have an ideal") and Sunshine Meadow was chosen.

We're very happy we have a new fursister, Sunshine Meadow, who came to live with us on Sunday.

Kisses, Sky...

Kapp Pack Dad here - we certainly didn't plan on getting another dog when we made this trip on Saturday. Whenever we go to the Humane Society, we always look to see if there are any huskies there. If there are, we let Mapaw know so a courtesy post can be done and if necessary, bring the pup into foster care. So, out of habit, we walked through the kennels. In the very last kennel (right across the hall from the kennel Sky was in when we adopted him), we found Meadow. She was listed as "stray at large, received 7/30/08." My wife saw her first and while I was looking at a senior, male, GSD mix (probably mixed with Malamute based on his size - note that his head is as high as a man's hip in the picture - and features) named JD.

We asked the kennel staff about her, and found out she had come in as a stray several weeks ago on the 18th. State law requires the shelter to keep strays for five days before making them available for adoption, so she had been available the 23rd. She was adopted out and came back in on the 30th as stray again. The owners were contacted and they said they would be in to pick her up, but Saturday had been her fourth day there (I don't care much for stupid dog owners like that). We took her for a walk outside to see how she was outside the kennel. My wife kneeled down to say hello to her and she came over and put her paws on my wife's shoulders. This was the same thing Kelsey had done the first time we met her.

Too many coincidences were popping up here and we figured this to be a message from North of the Bridge. We decided we needed to bring the boys to meet her. We quickly realized everyone was going to get along great and decided to be waiting at the door of the shelter when they opened on Sunday at noon. Adoption papers were signed, fees were paid and Meadow came home to live with us. So, we've got ourselves a 35-lb female husky with an unknown age (we're guessing older juvenile to young adult based on activity level and teeth examination). She likes to sit on the top of the couch and the arm of the chair; she seems to be very intelligent and knows some commands; and she loves to give hugs and kisses.

Thank you, Kelsey Ann, you knew just what we needed to help us heal. I'm sure you are smiling down on us from heaven!

Sorry there are no more pictures.....blogger is being stupid!
