Quiltin' Time

Hi Everydoggy,

Mom has been hard at work doing lots of things lately. One of the more important things is completing 3 quilted photo frames. These were items won in MaPaw's most recent ebay auction. Each one will be customized for the pack it's going to. The one I am modeling in these pictures will be sent to the Mom and Dad of Lucy, Kosmo, Clyde, Thunder and little foster orphan Annie. I had lots of fun helping mom but, it's time for bed. Quilting is hard work.
pssst....I heard mom say something about making a doggy quilt for the silent auction at the Hike N' Howl. I'll keep you posted as a learn more about this.

Our Slogans

All of my doggy friends seem to be coming up with new catch phrases for themselves. My mom helped me find where I do it to. Here's what I came up with for my pack!

Lions and tigers and kelsey, oh my!

Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy sky.

And last but not least...

To Canyon and beyond!

The 2-year old biped likes Canyon's quote the best!

Special Hikers

Hello Everydoggy!

I've been selected to be one of MaPaw's special hikers for the Hike N' Howl on September 1st. For all you doggies out there who haven't heard of this, the Hike N' Howl is an event being held by the Alliance of Northern Breed rescues. These rescues are MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue, Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue and Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue. All money raised will go towards helping the dogs in the care of these rescues. This is such an exciting event. Along with the hike there will be face painting for the little bipeds, informative talks like the one my mom is doing on Pet First Aid, and FOOD. Mom tells me she is in charge of the food (I'm going to glue myself to her side for the day). So if you live close enough come out and join us for the fun and if not, maybe you can steal....I mean borrow some money from your humans to help our doggies! Some of the other special hikers you might know are Echo, Shiloh, Magnum, Harley, Sasha, Indy and Meeshka.

Hi All! Mom is busy getting ready for something she calls a yard sale at grandma's house. I decided to find out what other doggies think is the best doggy movie. I had a really difficult time picking from the many movies out there. The poll is on the right side column. Please vote!! I will announce the results next week. Stay tuned! Maybe you can help me think of a topic for next week's poll. Have a great weekend everydoggy!

Two Rockin' Guys

Hello! Sky boy here. My friend Echo nominated me for the super duper Rockin' Guy blogger award. What an honor! He's such a great friend. I'm not sure who else to nominate because it seems like everybody I know are Rockin' Guys and Girls! I did see one oversight though. That's a nomination for my little buddy, Canyon. So I nominate Canyon to be a Rockin' Guy too!

Kisses, Sky

Here's my little buddy!

The PAWTY got crashed

Well, I thought I was going to have the house to myself for my big PAWTY... No such luck.

Around 7:30 last night, Mom came home to let me out, feed me and give me my pills. I knew she was coming so that wasn't a problem. She brought Sky!! Can you believe it. I'm supposed to have the place to myself and now I have to watch my little brother too. What a drag... Mom said he had to come home because the little biped learned how to open the zippers on the tent and they were worried that she would let Sky out of the tent in the middle of the night. They didn't want to end up chasing him again while on a camping trip; especially in the middle of the night and in the dark. Canyon got to stay because he's part lab and doesn't have the husky predisposition to run. He's also scared of a lot of things and would probably be too afraid to try and go for a romp through the woods in the middle of the night. Boy... he doesn't know what he's missing. Anyhusky who's ever gotten to go for an an untethered run knows this is the best thing in the world. Can I get a WOO-WOO anyhusky? Well, it wasn't too bad having Sky around. I made him be our butler in exchange for hanging out with the cool dogs.
The night really got going later on; it was about 1am. We all had our silly PAWTY hats on, and I was up quite a bit in the poker game. Here we are playing cards and I just got dealt 2 aces in the hole. Of course I raised the bet. On the flop, there was another ace, and two kings. I had a realy good hand now (full house - ACE OVER KINGS!!!). I went all in. The river comes out and I've got - you guessed it - ANOTHER ACE!!!!!! I was so excited, I was about to win 400 dog biscuits. Then the door opens. Here comes Mom and the little biped.. The child wouldn't sleep in the tent because there was a DJ and karaoke. The music was too loud. I don't know what the issue was since they both went to bed right away.

They didn't bring Dad and Canyon home. They stayed at the campground, and my pawty had to end. Sorry to ruin everyone's night... but hey - I still got all the dog biscuits since I had four Aces and a King kicker!

PAWTY AT THE QUEEN'S!!!

So, my humans are going camping for the night and they decided to leave me home to sleep in peace. Little do they know the big PAWTY plans I have in store. They are only staying 20 minutes away and will be home to check on me but they decided the Queen needed her beauty rest. They are taking the 2 amigos with them...and the toddling biped.YAY, I get a break from the annoying puppy. Mom and Dad promised to bring me hot dogs when they stop home to feed me and let me take care of business outside.

So everypuppy out there, PAWTY at the Queen's tonight. Bring your hats and head on over!
Echo, can you bring the cake? Or maybe Zim can bring one (that carrot cake looked really good)? Indy can you bring the cheese? Anypuppy volunteer to bring the peanut butter? Don't worry Turbo, no stoopid humans allowed!

Make sure you raid you humans wallet before coming and remember this isn't no nickel, dime, quarter kind of game!

Banana Mutts!

Sky here, I borrowed the computer from mom tonight to tell you about MY new toy. Canyon thinks it's his but it really is mine. I love any toys that are yellow or orange.

Me with my new yellow banana toy
Here's Canyon with the stolen goods!

As you can see I couldn't allow this blatant display of insubordination!

Are you in awe of my technique?

In NASCAR they would refer to this as a "bump and run"

Well, Mom thought we would like a special treat since we were having so much fun playing with the new banana toy. She made us banana cupcakes!

Don't they look yummy?

Mmmm....they are yummy! I was even nice and shared with my little bro!
I told Mom she needs to make yummy treats like these more often! What yummy treats do your mom or dads make for you?
BTW, Stay tuned for Queen Kelsey's big announcement tomorrow!
Kisses,
Sky Boy

Hear Ye, Patriotic Huskies Everywhere

Myspace Layouts

I would like to wish all of the red and white huskies with blue eyes a happy Independence Day! As Queen I grant every husky (other doggies too) these certain unalienable rights:
  1. Cake for everyone, Echo?
  2. Puppy license reinstatement, expires again on July 5, 2007 @ 12:01AM (if not sooner)
  3. Unlimited hot dogs stolen from biped's grills (you don't need to wait for the 5-second rule)
  4. Snow Dogs on repeat for 24 hours (think winter)
  5. Suspension of all explosive devices and thunderstorms (Stormy can you work on this?)
  6. A good, long, leisurely walk
  7. Followed by tummy rubs and lots of water and treats
  8. Long nap on couch (Magnum?)
  9. More treats
  10. Lots and lots of snuggle time

Here I am relaxing by a creek last summer

Don't let the loud fireworks bother you too much, they are temporary and will go away in a couple of days.

All of the Kapp pack would like to express our gratitude to our country's founding fathers and to our troops currently fighting to maintain our freedoms around the world. Fly your flags proudly!

God Bless America!
