Wounded and Plotting Revenge...Help Needed

Hi Everydoggy,

We had an incident of attempted revolt last night. Mom and Dad gave us our water and food in the correct order last night. First me, then Sky and then Canyon. I was SOOOOO thirsty I started to drink out of Canyon's water bowl because it was closest. And then his food was nice and convenient so I thought I would help myself. Well, the annoying one decided that he was going to finally get a "pair" (he must have forgotten he already got "fixed") and tell me to go park my nose elsewhere. There was growling, snarling, and lots of teeth bared and then Mom screamed "STOP!!!!!" at us and we stopped and stared at her.....she had the nerve to make me leave his dish and go to my own. As I walked away she noticed a drop of something dispersing itself into Canyon's water dish, UH OH! BLOOD! As she took a closer look at me she realized I was BLEEDING.....me, the queen, had a war injury. It's a good thing my mom is a certified pet first aid and CPR instructor and she knew exactly what to do. Somehow, by tooth or claw, Canyon cut open my bottom eyelid. Mom wiped my eye clean and then put some ice wrapped in a towel on it to help stop the bleeding.....apparently eye injuries look a lot worse than they usually are. It stopped bleeding and I need no further medical attention for it, but......EVERYDOGGY....I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!

I need suggestions on how to squash further revolts of this nature. I will not tolerate future instances of this kind of insubordination from an inferior. So please help me come up with a way to enact revenge on the annoying one.

I think he learned his lesson somewhat based on this submissive pose, but I need to ensure the safety of my throne.

PLEASE SEND HELP ASAP!!!!! This is a matter of top priority!

Woo WOOOOOOO!, Kelsey Ann
(Please place a vote for the best revenge method, or let me know your own version!)

WHAT!? Does he not know that you are ROYALTY? Meeka (his Royal Highness) has offered to come by and teach him the proper way to behave around a Royal One. Me....I think you should steal his stuffies.

OUCHIE!! That looks so sore Kelsey. Penny did that to Sherman once (actually she just ripped a hole in his head)...because he challenged her royalty. I just stay out of it.

Hope your eye feels much better soon!!

I'm sorry you had to go through that! I had an incident recently at my house involving Lex, Meepie, and a stupid horse fly!

Wow, Kelsey! That sure looks ouchie. We are so glad your mommy got there in time before something worse happened. Sounds like somebody needs to maybe eat in his crate while everyone else has theirs in freedom. Or maybe he should be on a leash and made to wait his turn while the Queen has first turns at everything. and he was such a good pup this weekend. You give him what for! Your pretty eyes don't deserve that kind of treatment. Mommy sends love & we all send get well kisses.

We all get fed in shifts, and in different areas so we are not close together. Monty and Kona eat first, Monty in the living room, Kona in the bedroom. Then when they are done I get to eat in the family room. Then Samuel eats in the Family room while mom spoon feeds Abby (who won't eat her canned food by herself because of all the meds mixed in) and I watch cuz I get to clean their bowls when they are done.

Poor darling.

I am so sorry and I hope you get better very quickly. We have never had any problems like that so I can't help.

Master and mistress were very assertive at feeding time.

Oh-Woo, Kelsey Ann, that sure looks painful. I hope it heals real soon! Retaliation will only get you in trouble if 'you are caught.' So remember, don't get caught, he-woo-woo! Mommy puts Juneau on a leash when we eat together cuz he lunges for my food alls the time. Sumtimes I'm not hungry so I let him & mommy grabs him back cuz she doesn't want him to eat the canned Canidae dog food she mixes in wif my dry. I just hate dry dog food.
Feel better,

Ooooh, that looks nasty. But you know, the best way to avoid such things is probably to avoid all food but your own. Sorry. Just saying. I'm probably a bit like Canyon. There can't be another dog within 20 feet of me when mom is dishing out my food. I turn into psycho freak dog if any other beastie is around.

you are listening to an expert in this conflict resolution area...in our family we have 2 labs{one of which has k,illed 7 deer, had a run in with a skunk} a hearing dog named speedy{my son and daughter are both 85% deaf},a ugly orange cat named jasperbell{we have actually seen him pounce on a bird from our bird retreat area) and the old princess of our home, sandy...well sadie our deer killing dog will now come up to you to be patted, why???LOVE, SIMPLE LOVE...she used to be left on a chain(tangled up} from our mean neighbors...now lives with duke who loves her,,,the cat is well fed and so it has stopped jumping the birds and the cat to keep away from the dogs runs up trees...the hearing dog's answer is well training...stays like a glove by her service agent(our daughter)...all conflicts resolved...oh p.s. i don't fill the bird feeders anymore to insure no birds feed on the ground where jasper bell can get them

Booowooo, Kelsey Ann, that is no way for a queen to be treated, and eyes are scary injuries, just read our latest blog from Cracker! We're glad your humom broke it up quickly and was able to administer immediate first aid, hope it heals fast! I don't know if it'll help, but our humans feed us in separate corners of our big sunroom, so none of us are close to each other. We all share our big water dispenser so we've learned to take turns with the water...
Maybe you should teach Canyon a lesson with sleep deprivation; every time he looks like he's going to get comfy, run him off and take his spot for yourself, eventually he'll figure out that EVERYTHING is yours, and if you choose to share with him, it's STILL yours when you want it back. Nothing spells punishment like withholding the naps, (course it might cut into your own naptime having to watch him all the time...)Hmmmmm, maybe not such a great idea, we'll have to keep thinkin on it....
Manykisses,
Bama & the RHP
