This morning started out just like any other morning. Dad got up first and went for a shower. I got up and wandered around the house woo-wooing to try and get him to hurry up in the shower so he could take me out and feed me. After what seemed like furever, he finally was finished. Mom got up and took her shower while Dad was getting dressed and I continued to woo-woo at him. He finally took me, Sky and the Annoying One outside. Then we got our breakfast (I got my normal 1 cup of Canidae and 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter mixed with pills). Just as I was finished eating, Mom was finished in the throne-room (the humans call it the bedroom because their bed is there, but as far as I'm concerned, its the throne-room because I am the queen) which meant she would be vacating and I would get to go lay on my throne for the rest of the day. Dad got the little biped out of bed, took her to the potty and dressed her. All the humans left, but they forgot to take the Annoying One to his crate!
HAS HE LOST HIS MIND ?!?!?
After twenty minutes or so, he left and we were stuck in this situation. I was so upset by this. Several hours went by, then Dama (Mom's Mom) showed up. She was there a few minutes before some humans who smelled like strangers got to the house. They made a lot of noise for a few minutes. The two strangers left and Dama came back and opened the door to the throne-room. Well, we both had to go investigate the smells. Lo and behold, there was a new piece of furniture in the dining room.
13 woo woos:
Don't bother trying to figure out the humans, what's the point? They're humans! By definition they don't make sense. We're sorry your queenly routine was disputed though, we HATE it when that happens.
Manykisses,
Bama & the RHP
It looks a very nice piece of furniture although not much use for dogs as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to lie.
Still, if it keeps them happy.
And hope they had a good birthday dinner party.
Pippa xx
happy birthday 2 d grandpapa
At first I thought maybe Canyon had separation anxiety and your dad was training with him to relax about the getting ready to leave routine. I guess it is on my mind because of Blue. New furniture is much better than a freaked out Huskador! Happy birthday Pop-pop!
Sorry, that was me, not Papa.

Hi-Woo,
Nice furniture - but can't be used by us Sibes. Can't sit on it. Broken glass would be awfully messy. I'm glad yur eye is better, Kelsey Ann.
-Cosmos-
Well that was interesting. I guess for his safety it was necessary, but they could have explained it to you. After all, as the Queen, you are supposed to know what is going on.
The new furniture is beautiful.
Husky Hugs, MayaMarie
I m ust agree.. beautiful furniture.. but what is it good for? I am sure they don't use it for the real reason it was made - to store your food!!!
Hugs,
Sitka
That furniture looks like it's very breakable. If you run into it during a major wrestling session, will it hold up? Your parents probably should have taken you to the store so you could try out several pieces first.
Kat
Woo.....Kat has a great point. They should let us "working" dogs come into the furniture store to test the furniture. When Mom and Dad were looking at new sofas (which they finally bought by the way) they wanted to bring us for a major play session after the store closed so they could see which sofas survived. Happy Birthday Pop Pop! Ummm...will there be CAKE??
ECHO
Ah, something else to chew on, or break. Why do humans think they need pretty stuff when they have us?

It is always very confusing when our routines are changed. Glad everything worked out OK. Sorry to hear about the food fight. Hope your eye is all better now. We really liked the video about the dogs of 9-11. Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva.
I think they were just trying to keep you on your toes. :)
It must have been nice to not be stuck in the kennel.
Did you two get along in the throne room?
