Kapp Crusade

Hey Everydoggy!

Remember yesterday I told you I was hoping I would have good news today...

Mom and Dad have frantically been trying to work out travel plans. I wasn't quite sure for what until today. Dad has to go to Mississippi again next week for work. This wil be the third week in a row he's away from us, but this week I will forgive him....

Here's why:

Mom saw a post on sibernet-L this Sunday. A Siberian husky puppy in need in Mississippi. Mississippi? Mom said to Dad, how many people involved in Siberian husky rescue would be traveling to Mississippi and be able to help this pup? They decided not too many, if anybody, but our dad. The original plans were for dad to do a road trip in July to bring the pup "home" to Pennsylvania but when Mom saw the x-rays she knew it had to be next week to get the little pup help fast!

You see the pup was hit by a car and left on the steps of a vet's office. He has a broken femur and possibly a broken pelvic bone. The shelter knew they needed to find a rescue to take him or he would face being euthanized. Mom couldn't bear to see that happen to a little pup with his whole life ahead of him and she knew we could work it out to help him. MaPaw has agreed to take on this pup and help him be whole again.

Well, MaPaw has given the pup a new name and a new "leash" on life. Our dad will do a 19 hour road trip both ways next week. That's almost 40 hours total of driving. On his trip back the car will contain a furry passenger. Mom has already made an appointment for next Friday and will be dropping pictures of the pup's x-rays off at Dr. Horst's office tomorrow.

Without furthur ado I present to you...

BILOXI

You can check out a pic of his x-rays here.

Guess who will be fostering little Biloxi????

US!!!!!! We are so excited to be able to help this little guy!

As you can guess treatment to correct this poor boy's breaks will be quite expensive. If you can see it in your heart or paws to help this little boy it would be much appreciated.

you can also snail mail a donation to:

Just had the chance to pass on the good news to the folks on husky4life, as someone posted there about him who hadn't gotten the word about you guys. I passed on the link to your blogspot and to www.gimpydogs.com.
