Hey Pups!
Sky here tonight. Mom and Dad say my Husky Card has been revoked. Here's what happened this evening after all the humans were home for the day.
Dad got home from a business trip around 5:15. I guess you could say this trip was practice for next week to pick up Biloxi (don't forget, this little Biloxi can sure use help). His total driving was a little over 500 miles this week (20-25% of what he'll do next week). Shortly after he got home, we had dinner guests. A friend of Mom's from when they were teenagers brought her husband and two sons over to visit. One of the boys is 9 months younger than my little biped and the other is just a little baby, a few weeks old.
The humans ate some pizza and then went outside so my little biped and the boy could play in the yard. We sat inside and watched from the window. Dad and the other human man set up the tent in the backyard (which was a pretty funny since it's a bit windy tonight) so Mom, Dad, the little biped and Canyon could sleep in it tonight. After they did that, the little biped and the boy went in the tent to play.
After a while they were bored, so they got the wagon out and pulled each other around. They even conned the other human man into pulling them some. Then Dad had the idea for me to pull them.
By the time Mom had gotten this third picture, I had begun to get a little tired. I had made 1 lap around the yard (maybe an 1/8 mile). About half way into the next lap, I decided to take care of my tired...
When I did this, Dad asked "what kind of husky are you?" I answered in the following manner.
Since I didn't do a very good job pulling a wagon, I had my Husky Card revoked.
Help!!!
Kisses, Sky boy
14 woo woos:
Sky boy,
What self respecting husky pulls a pretend sled on thick green grass when the human is tugging?
We think you should take this claim to a higher authority. Huskies pull when we are properly motivated, and when the temperature is below 50.
Typical humans making up rules to suit themselves.
Loving life,
Lola
Tell them that when you have snow, you'll be happy to pull a sled. A wagon and grass requires a Bernese Mtn dog, not a husky.
Princess Eva
I have a Bernese Mtn. dog akhross the street -
Do woo want me to bring Ballou along NEXT time?
I would help woo pull The Little Bi-ped Express!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Don't worry too much Sky. There are "working" Siberians and then there are WORKING Siberians. You are apparently the "working" kind and only work for snacks and snooter khysses. Those other kind live in Alaska.
Holly
w00f's Sky, KA and Canyon, a sibe's work iz never done...that pictur of the boy and the little biped in da tent iz cute...do u think they gonna hunt a wagon to hitch me up to...me hopes not...me iz lazy..
b safe,
~rocky~
Sky, perhaps you should remind them that you're a SNOW dog and in order to work at your optimum performance level you need
S-N-O-W! And don't forget, we're independent thinkers. We never do what we don't want to. Woo!

I think that grass has a lot of resistance and friction on wagon wheels, so I'm sure that's why you were so tired. Plus you had a heavy load with an extra little biped!
How come you didn't get to sleep in the tent too?
Steve
Tell your hoomans you are supposed to pull sleds, not wagons! You look so tired. I think you should still have your husky card. You are beautiful and very much husky!!
Hugs, Kodak
I would have to ask first "what's in it for me?"
and if you can see no benefit here, I would have done the same thng. Besides, it's fun to embarass our hoomans sometimes.
Of course you are a top husky. Clever dogs lie down when they are tired. And when they are not tired too.
Looking forward to Biloxi coming to join you.
Pippa
It's not a Sibe's job to pull badly designed wagons on grass!
This is an injustice!
Part of the breed requirements is being stubborn. Looks like a perfect fit to me! :) "I'm just sayin'!"
Love,
Ammy
Oh my POOR Sky boy!!!!
You had me rolling on the floor!
First of all, the silly humans don't have the proper kind of harness on you for pulling. Second, it was way too warm! Let them try that again in the COLD weather!Sooo...you should certainly get to keep your husky card! And Ammy is right--look up stubborn in the dictionary and there is a picture of a Siberian husky, so you are definitely "on the mark". Also, if you would like some dog sleddding lessons, you just come on up and see me--I would be glad to help you out!
Love & snooter kisses,
Skye
Woo there Sky-Boy~
Woo did a great job and don't let any biped let you think woo didn't. HELLO...BIPEDS....there is a reason you don't call us GRASS DOGS or WAGON DOGS!
I'm sorry woo have to live with those bipeds...woo can come to Iowa and help us with the SLED in the SNOW anytime.
Your pal,
Summi
