Mom and Dad promised I would get to go somewhere to see prey today. This morning when I woke up, I was really sore. It's the worst it has ever been. I was doing a lot of crying and was really cranky with everyone! I got my Rimadyl in the morning with breakfast. This week, I was alternating between two doses and one dose each day as we try and find the lowest effective dose. Yesterday was a one dose day. It helped some, but I was still really sore.
The tundra swans
Thousands of geese
Unfortunately, Mom and Dad kept me on a leash the whole time, so I couldn't go chasing them. (In reality, I didn't feel up to it). Dad tried to help me get into the car after the short walk and I was so sore I didn't want to be touched. I ended up biting his hand because I was scared it would hurt. The walk helped me feel better, I just was having a very bad day. Tomorrow, Dad's going to call Dr. Horst to see about getting some other kind of medicine for really bad days. He had suggested that opiates may be available for severe pain. But, even though I was very sore - I had a great time looking at the birds and spending time with the bipeds without Sky and the Annoying One.

(I'll share more pics later, blogger was being tempermental like me tonight!)

I hope you feel better, KA! It's too bad they wouldn't have let you chase the prey anyway; it looks like you would have had LOTS of fun doing that!
Woos,
Thor
What a cool trip! We're so sorry you weren't feeling up to chasing those geese. Your Mom and Dad love you very much and will find the right medications for you.

Ahhhhhh Poor KA -
I'm sure the vetdokhtor will find something to help you!
Khool you got to see the swans - we saw the story on the news last week that it was their 'time' to visit in the area for the year -
Glad you and the little bi-ped got some fresh air -

Hi Kelsey Ann! Sorry you're hurting so badly. When I had my back problems (I guess I still have them, but when they flared up) I was on some opiates. They helped a TON! Have your mom ask my mom about them if you'd like more info on what they were!
Those birdies sure are cool. I'd want to stare at them all day. I love the picture of you and the little biped in front of them - mostly I like how she's ignoring the birdies and is petting you sweetly on the head.
Play bows,
Zim
We're glad the trip helped you feel better, KelseyAnn. The geese look very tasty! Perhaps one will fall out of the sky right in front of you one day, yumm!

That looks like a really cool trip! I'm really sorry you weren't feeling very good though. That probably ruined the trip a little.

We are so sorry, Kelsey Ann, that you aren't feeling good. We hope yur vet can get the right treatment so you don't hurt so bad.

Oh what a neat trip. i am sorry you aren't doing well though.
Kelsey Ann,
I hope the Rimadyl has kicked back into high gear. The trip looks like fun. Sure wish you were feeling better, though.
I've been taking my wonder drug for a few years now. I have to take some drugs to keep up with the big pack around here!
You sure make a great bird watcher. I bet you watch over the bipeds too!
Have a relaxing week. Let us know how you're doing!

Kelsey Ann,
It's tough when you don't feel good and you can't fully enjoy the field trip.

You poor thing, hope you are feeling better today. The tiny human is sweet.

You are a first-rate caninaturalist! Neither of us have ever seen tundra swans before; we can't wait to learn more about them.
Good luck with the medication: you're too great a dog to be sore!
Hurting stinks!
Gremlin is avoiding the NSAIDs because her organs aren't so good. So she's taking just a pain medicine.
I thought it was Cram-It-All, but now the Human Assistant says it's Tramadol.
Maybe some Opey-8s would help her too. I'll get the H.A. to ask.
You take care!
We hope you get to feeling better.
Yes Spring is in the air. We saw thousands of loons at the lake a couple of weeks ago. The trees are starting to bud out...

Wow, that looks and sounds like a very exciting trip. its a shame you didn't get to play with all of those birds and stuff.
I'm sorry you have pain, I hope the vets can find you something to make you feel better. The human woman suggests nyquil, but that's only for humans, and she should really put that bottle down, especially if she's going to paint.
