The humans were gone all day. The mailman came and instead of his normal, just leaving mail at the mailbox, he walked up to the front porch where he left a big box. For several hours, we had to sit in the house and wonder what this package contained. It was really hard to wait for so long, but we did. The Christmas card count is: dogs - 64; people - 12; shared - 1 (from Echo and his people)
When the humans finally got home, we almost forgot about the box because of all the food they had. Apparently they spent the day at dama's and paw-paw's house baking Christmas cookies! Then they went pre-snow grocery stopping followed by a stop at the pizza shop for dinner. There are five LARGE containers of cookies: 1 container of chocolate chip, which will make us sick if we eat them; 1 container of peanut butter, which they won't let us eat; 2 containers of iced sugar cookies, which mom won't let anyone else eat; and 1 container of sand tarts, which dad won't let anyone else eat. They also had a lot of bags from the grocery store and leftover pizza. There was no dog food in the grocery store bags and we didn't get any leftover pizza. We were all wondering when we were going to get some of the good food... and we're still wondering...
Then they opened the box. They called all of us to see what it was. Here's pictures of what we found inside.
Here's Canyon checking out the first bag to come out of the box.
Here I am checking out the second bag, it had my name on it
And here, Sky looks at his bag
Sky got a Kong toy
Canyon got a frog that makes froggie noises when he squeeks it
Well, we spent all day wondering what was in the box the mailman brought and we finally found out. Now we're wondering who it came from, so we asked Mom and Dad. They told us that we had been signed up for a Secret Santa exchange with MaPaw. Mom and Dad sent a present from all of us to someone this morning and because they sent one, someone else sent us presents. Thanks, Someone!!! The presents are great. Canyon thinks that they all belong to him, but we'll fix that soon enough.

No pizza? No peanut butter cookies? K.A., you guys should go on strike!
We were lucky yesterday. Friends brought PB cookies just for us! The Human can't have any!
Sand tarts? I dunno.... Won't chewing on the sand hurt his teeth?
Oh I can't believe you are not getting any cookies. New toys are great.
That is so cool!!
Too bad about the cookies though - I'd be pushing for a little taste of the peanut butter ones!
River
Sorry you didn't get any cookies, but the toys are very cool!
New toys! Woo, the secret someone sure has good taste.
Woooo,

Wow you got some great stuff...
Our Mom spent all day yesterday making cookies too. She made, sugar cookies, fudge, English Toffee bars, Molasses Crinkles and Dad's favorite Rum Balls... I snagged one of the sugar cookies off the table and Louie scarfed it down. He is such a pest...Oh Sis is coming over today to make peanut butter balls. They are dipped in chocolate.. mmmmm
My mama doesn't give me any of her food. I have to steal it! And now she's trying to stop me from doing that, too! Harumph.
On a good note, I really like your page, and the picture of the three of you in the DWB calendar is cool! I'm going to make your site my first DWB Pawsome Post. It's my way of showing mama that I'm trying to not be scared of big dogs!
I don't seem to see Khyra's Khorner over there!
Woos up with that??
Sorry about the mess in your yard -
Darn weather people - sent all of our snow stuff to Detroit and other places like that ;-(
